Transparency for all parties
It is often the case that those responsible for effectiveness and costs - such as cost centre managers or company directors - do not have direct access to the pertinent information regarding energy consumption. For these managers, who are not necessarily energy experts, it is crucial to know how, where and when energy is being used. In other words, they require energy transparency.

Here is where the deZem technology comes into play, providing: direct monitoring of data related to energy use and costs, production efficiency or environmental indicators, amongst others. This is combined with the interactive visualization and analysis of the data. Our Internet platform is especially designed to allow clients develop, account for and transform energy management strategies, in an effective and transparent manner.

With our technology it is possible to compare energy consumption with production results or CO2 emissions – almost in real time – or compare it with more common parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, weight etc.

An example: compressed air
The following diagram shows how an air compressor turns on every six minutes, it works during two cycles and then turns off for one minute. All these frequent interruptions increase the consumption of energy while reducing the life span of the compressor. In this case the potential for optimization is very important.

Compressed air is a very expensive form of energy, offering a large savings potential. With deZem you can meter your flows of compressed air directly and determine the consumption for each cost centre online. In this way, it is easy to pin point and eliminate escapes, as well as configure and maintain the machinery in an optimal condition.

As an example, the following graph shows the start-up load of two compressors and their sum. To visualize this kind of diagram will only take about two seconds, then you may zoom into details down to the level of seconds so as to understand the detailed behaviour of your relevant equipment.

Detection of anomalies
High resolution electric load curves can serve as an "electrocardiogram", making it possible to automatically recognize and evaluate unforeseen events as well as the effects of gradual wear. Whatever your requirements, we can adapt to them thanks to our technology and know-how.
